temperatures probably low 50s by the afternoon. inside the bay 53 degrees in san francisco, 55 oakland, 52 sausalito. check out your temperatures online at let's check the roads with gianna. >>> thank you, lawrence. we have been monitoring this water main break in hayward which seems to be a problem as chp has now issued a sig alert in the area. so the water main break is located at jackson street and santa clara street right at that intersection just east of 880 and the 92 interchange. chp has shut down one lane of the eastbound 92 off-ramp at jackson because of flooding in the area. so they are advising you to avoid the area until they mop up. so it's jackson street and santa clara street but if you are coming off jackson off east 92, that right lane is now shut down. chp and hayward pd are on scene. we have live look coming up in the next few minutes to get you updated on this area. we'll do that as soon as the lanes open, as well. the san mateo bridge, westbound towards foster city no problems. eastbound into hayward not showing any delays right now, traffic looking good. an

approaching the coastline. only about 57 degrees in san francisco. should be about 60 degrees in oakland. and 57 degrees in hayward. all right. let's check the roads with liza battalones. >> it's a busy drive out there. we're watching san francisco in the south of market area with the police department directing traffic a serious accident involving a car hitting a tow truck. at least two people injured. one person trapped in the vehicle at ninth and brannan. no muni lines roll through there so no delays for san francisco's muni as a result of this accident. again, we'll let you know once the police department clears that up. we are as watching the altamont pass. long delays westbound 580 backed up from at least grant line road approaching 680. we have had a couple of accidents. and the usual slow stuff. so give yourself some extra time. that's a look at the tuesday commute. here's frank. >>> all right, liza, thanks. >>> oakland police chief howard jordan has a news conference this morning. he will update the press on two officer-involved shootings.
going on. perhaps even worse than san francisco or oakland or san jose, but i can't rest on the lores that we might be better in employment. we might be better not having that many homicides but we lost a lot of the african-american community in the last 10-20 years. we lost the redevelopment agency that gave a lot of promises. i am trying to keep those promises, but i've got to find more and better ways to interrupt the violence, and i want today to register a personal appeal to our religious leaders to help me do that, find ways. i suspect it's not about money. it's not about numbers of jobs. it's about who we talk about and who we relate to, and how can we penetrate barriers or vacuums where there is no conversations going on? how do we talk to kids that don't have a mother or father? who are they talking with? how do we talk with their aunts or grandparents or brothers or sisters and tell them that we care and get them into a conversation with us. how about putting down the guns? what is it that they need from us to assure them that we have a safe passage for them to be

to see some slowing at least through those downtown oakland exits. golden gate bridge looking good from marin county in san francisco. >>> a close call for a woman trying to save her dog that went over a cliff. a rescue at fort funston. first a dog went down and the woman tried to go after him and fell 50 feet down to the beach. eventually rescuers went down on ropes, retrieved the dog using a special harness. they had to airlift the woman off the beach. she is recovering from her injuries this morning. >>> a bay area family is on edge after being targeted twice this week by vandals. family told cbs 5 that someone clearly is out to get them. they live in san jose's willow glen enabled. it all started on monday when someone threw yellow paint on their car and slashed their tires. the second night vandals took it to a whole new level doused the front door with gas and set that on fire. 3 a.m. yesterday they heard a thump at the front door and opened it to a wall of flames. luckily the fire didn't spread. >> i'm fearful for the health of my family
